DORA THE EXPLORER: SUPER STAR ADVENTURES lets young children who are fans of the cute show for preschoolers play along with Dora on Game Boy Advance. Dora is set to start out on an all-new adventure that requires the help of all her friends including the Explorer Stars. The game has 21 activity games on seven appealing levels. Once a level is chosen, it must be completed before the game goes back to the main menu. Each level also has its own set of mini-games. Following the same formula as the television show, the first game is always a seek-and-find game where Dora must locate a star. Other games use motor and problem solving skills with mazes, matching games, pattern activities, a shape puzzle, basic platform games, and simple racing games. Each new adventure instructs the player through a brief instructional story or images to explain how the game is to be played. If the player is familiar with the game or does not wish to wait through these introductions, they can simply click through to the game. Since the target audience is very young and many may not have reading skills, it makes the game very approachable. DORA THE EXPLORER: SUPER STAR ADVENTURES is an adorable adventure for fans of the television show and parents who wish to present their child with a fun and educational way to build basic skills while having fun.
